Landscaping and Leisure
Old synthetic grasses were very coarse, hard and unsightly. If you fell on them, you quite often got friction burns.
The new generation of carpets (that's what they are), are completely different. Some have a "thatch" in them which supports the longer fibres. This means that the need for sand infill is either greatly reduced, or as is with some carpets, you don't need any infill at all.
These carpets are resilient, porous and soft to the touch. Nothing is completly maintenance free but these products are probably as easy to look after as it's possible to get. Usually, all you need is an occassional hose. They can be laid onto a prepared sand base or onto truly flat macadam, which is great for those family bar-b-ques. Have a dinner party, open you patio or French doors and extend onto your fabulous looking lawn. It looks great all year round.
